HONOR today announced that the EMUI 10.1 update has already begun rolling out for the HONOR View20, HONOR 20 and 20 PRO. As for the Honor 9X Pro, it will only start rolling out in September 2020 via HOTA.
EMUI 10.1 Update
The latest software version based on Android 10 will allow users to experience new features, changes and improvements to provide an enhanced user experience including Huawei MeeTime, a video calling application and Smart Multi-Window, multi-tasking with zero hassle.
Strengthening HONOR’s “1+8+N” all-scenario IoT strategy, the update enables a more seamless interconnectivity of multiple devices, offering an intelligent ecosystem for HONOR users. HONOR View20, HONOR 20 and 20 Pro will also see updates to its Mobile Office such as Multi-Screen Collaboration along with some basic experience optimization.
Huawei MeeTime: High-quality communication wherever, whenever
Offering a new way to share different perspective of your life with family and friends, users can now connect with high quality video calls, even in low-light or poor network conditions. Adding more fun to MeeTime conversations, users can share his/her phone screen with each other to make communication easier especially when it comes to shopping online while consulting friends or even guiding your grandparents to navigate their smartphones. It also comes with AI-Make Up feature to soften your skin tone for times you want to look good in front of the camera.
Smart Multi-Window: Multi-tasking without switching
Multi-window will allow users to multi-task by displaying two different apps in separate views. Users can not only activate split screen view by simply touching and holding one of the windows but also drag and drop images, text or even files across multi-windows.
Mobile Office: Larger screen, more productivity
Users can take advantage of the multi-screen collaboration with one-touch, opening a web address or edits the files on your phone using PC applications.
Visionary Performance
Delivering a more responsive and consistent performance, the update includes Deterministic Latency Engine which reduces the system response time by 20.8% and the average latency fluctuation by 10.5%.
Security and Privacy
Protecting users’ privacy, local data is fully encrypted while cloud data are encrypted during transmission and storage for data security.
