AMD has launched its Ryzen 7040HS line of mobile processors, featuring RDNA3 integrated graphics and a new XDNA architecture for its Ryzen AI on-chip accelerator.
Ryzen 7040HS Features
The new processor features 8-cores and 16-threads, with 16MB of L3 cache. The lineup has a max boost clock of up to 5.2Ghz with a TDP between 35 to 53 watts. The Radeon 700M graphics boasts 12 compute units and 768 stream processors.
Ryzen AI is a separate component from the CPU and graphics, and works as an on-die AI accelerator, to allow software to perform AI-accelerated tasks.
Ryzen 7040HS Series SKUs
The lineup will be available in 3 processor SKUs:
- Ryzen 9 7940HS (8C/16T, 5.2Ghz max boost)
- Ryzen 7 7840HS (8C/16T, 5.1Ghz max boost)
- Ryzen 5 7640HS (6C/12T, 5Ghz max boost)
Availability
The Ryzen 7040HS series will be available across multiple platforms, and will be featured on the new Razer Blade 14 gaming laptop.
