Vivo today launched the vivo Y36 5G, the latest addition to the company’s Y series of smartphones catered to youths. The new smartphone boasts a larger, brighter 6.64″ FHD+ display, 50MP main camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 44W FlashCharge.

Aside from the above, users will be reassured with its 8 GB of RAM, 8 GB of extended RAM, and 256 GB of storage. It also has IP54 water and dust resistance to tackle the elements.
The beating heart of the all-new Y36 5G is the latest flagship 5G chipset from MediaTek, the Dimensity 6020. This chipset packs a pair of Cortex-A76 cores at up to 2.2 GHz, and six Cortex-A55 cores.
This time, Y36 5G brings better performance of Memory Booster with the support of three core sub-features: Extended RAM 3.0, RAM Saver, and Interface Preserver. This means that the 8 GB of LPDDR4X memory is supplemented with additional virtual memory of 8 GB. Users will not have to worry about downloading or saving apps, videos or files on the phone thanks to the large 256GB storage.
Despite its slim body, Y36 5G houses a 5000 mAh large battery that can hold its charge for extended HD movie streaming and graphic-intensive gaming sessions. The device also features 44W FlashCharge for fast charging.
Pricing and Availability
The vivo Y36 5G is priced at RM1,099. You get both Mighty Black and Semporna Green colourways. Consumers can get it at all vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, vivo Malaysia’s official E-Store and vivo Malaysia’s official flagship stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok.
From 13 June till 16 July 2023, customers who purchase vivo Y36 are entitled to free gifts worth up to RM298, including a TWS earbud and a 1-year extended warranty.
