AMD today has announced the launch of its latest lineup of GPUs – the RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT. Both GPUs are targeted at 1440p gaming, as according to the chipmaker, 1440p displays are the fastest growing screen resolution.
Alongside the launch of the new GPUs, the company also unveiled its next generation FSR 3 with Fluid Motion Frames technology.
AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT
The RX 7700 XT is an RDNA midrange GPU with 54 compute units and 54 RT Accelerators. It is also capable of 2,171MHz game clock and boost clocks up to 2,544MHz. Working in tandem are 12GB of GDDR6 memory and 192 bit bus width, with a total memory speed of 18Gbps. The RX 7700 XT has a total board power of 245W.
AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT
The AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT boasts 60 compute units and 60 RT Accelerators. It also has a 2,124Mhz game clock and 2,430MHz boost clock. It gets 16GB of VRAM (GDDR6) and a 256 bit memory interface. Total board power caps at 263W.
FSR 3
AMD has also showcased its latest upscaling technology, dubbed FSR 3 and is now available with AMD Fluid Motion Frames technology. With FSR 3 turned on, gamers can expect to see massive performance uplifts across multiple titles.
AMD HYPR-RX
For gamers who want a one click solution to get the best performance out of their games, AMD introduced HYPR-RX, automatically turning on AMD Radeon Boost, AMD Radeon Anti-Lag+, and AMD Radeon Super Resolution to deliver instant performance.
Availability
The AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT and RX 7800 XT will be available on September 6 2023 onwards. The RX 7700 XT will retail for US$449, while the RX 7800 XT will retail for US$499.
