Xiaomi’s latest entry-level smartphone, the Redmi 12 has just landed in Malaysia. The new iteration now features a larger RAM and storage, and could be had starting from RM499.
Of course there is a caveat, as RM499 is the early bird price for the 4GB+128GB base model, which retails for RM599 after said promotion is over. The 8GB+256GB model will go on sale from 15th July onwards for RM699.
Redmi 12 Key Features

The Redmi 12 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G88 chipset that clocks up to 2.0Ghz. The storage can also be expanded by up to 1TB to store all your files. It also boasts a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging.
On the camera front, the Redmi 12’s triple camera system features a 50MP main camera. Completing the trio is an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.

The display has also been upgrade, now standing at 6.79 inches. The FHD+ DotDisplay screen has 90Hz Adaptive Sync. This display, with a resolution of 2460×1080, is also the largest so far in the Redmi series.
