Fujifilm Malaysia has announced the launch of the Fujifilm X-S20 mirrorless camera, which will be on sale starting 29th June 2023 onwards.
This new addition to the X Series of mirrorless cameras features a compact and lightweight body, which boasts an AI-based subject detection AF and capability to record up to 6.2K/30P video. The adoption of a new high capacity battery allows the camera to take approximately 800 frames and operate for longer.
Fujifilm X-S20 Features
The X-S20 is equipped with the back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 4 26.1MP sensor and the X-Processor 5 image processing engine.
It also features a large grip, which is a signature of the X-S Series. The adoption of a new battery also meant that the X-S20 can now shoot double the number of images (800 photos) when compared to the X-S10.
The five-axis in body image stabilisation offers up to 7 stops of stabilisation. The AI-based subject-detection AF is capable of detecting animals and cars.
The X-S20 supports 4:2:2 10 bit video recording internally and features a 3.5mm microphone/ earphone jack for connecting external accessories.
Fujinon XF 8mm F3.5R WR Ultra-Wide Angle Lens
Aside from the launch of the new camera, Fujifilm Malaysia has launched the Fujinon XF 8mm F3.5 WR ultra-wide angle lens. The lens boasts a 121 degrees (diagonal) and 112 degress (horizontal) field of view.
This prime lens has the widest field of view in Fujifilm’s X-Mount lineup of lenses. It also boasts 12 lens elements in 9 groups, including 3 aspherical elements and 2 ED elements.
Fujifilm XApp for GFX and X Series
In order to broaden the appeals of digital photography abd improce shooting convenience, Fujifilm has launched the Fujifilm XApp (XApp), an app for use with the GFX and X Series of digital cameras.
Pricing and Availability
The Fujifilm X-S20 mirrorless camera will be on sale starting 29th June 2023 at a starting price of RM6,888 for body only. The X-S20 is also available with a 15-45mm kit lens for RM7,388, or with an 18-55mm lens for RM8,888.
