Acer has announced today the latest lineup of business-oriented products, which encompass the Aspire Vero, TravelMate, Veriton, and Altos range.
Acer Aspire Vero 14
The Aspire Vero 14 offers a business and sustainability proposition with impressive features. This refreshed model uses a higher percentage of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in its chassis at 40% (over its predecessor’s 30%). This in turn results in 30% less CO2 emissions during the production of the chassis matererial.
Even with this higher PCR content, the device can still withstand everyday wear and tear. Additionally, the incorporation of recycled Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP) in the trackpad via the use of smooth OceanGlass helps reduce plastic waste.
The laptop is shipped in multi-purpose recyclable packaging made from 100% recycled paper and up to 90% recycled cardboard. Extending use of even the packaging, the box is designed to be easily repurposed into an ergonomic laptop stand.
It is equipped with a 14-inch FHD IPS display and offers a choice between 8GB or 16GB of RAM. It also boasts a 512GB SSD, and is powered by up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor.
The laptop comes pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student edition. It will retail from RM2,599 and is available immediately at Acer eStore and Acer official stores on Shopee and Lazada.
Acer Vero CB1 Monitor
The Acer Vero CB1 monitors come in the three variants of CB241Y, CB271 and CB271U and embody sustainability in its make. Packed in the 100% recyclable green packaging, all three monitors adopt 85% PCR plastic and 5% OBP to reduce environmental impact.
The Acer Vero CB1 monitors come in the options of 24 inches and 27 inches, with up to WQHD to deliver impressive visuals and 99% sRGB colour accuracy. The use of recyclable LCD display panels provide a more environmentally friendly option for users.
The Vero CB241Y and CB271 monitors are 24-inch and 27-inch FHD IPS displays respectively while the 27-inch CB271U monitor is a WQHD IPS display.
The availability of USB Type-C PD 65W with top-speed data transmission in reversible plug orientations enhances productivity and reduces cable clutter, while providing the convenience of charging devices directly. Meanwhile, the Ergo stand allows ergonomic adjustments for height, swivel and pivot, promoting a more comfortable viewing and care of the user’s posture.
Available immediately at Acer authorized reseller, Acer eStore and official stores on Shopee and Lazada, the Acer Vero CB241Y, CB271 and CB271U monitors priced at RM749, RM879 and RM1,099 respectively.
Acer TravelMate and Veriton Series
Acer’s new range of TravelMate and Veriton products now come incorporated with improved features designed with sustainability in mind, to assist corporations and businesses in fulfilling their commitment to environmental, social and governance (ESG) efforts.
Acer integrated hardware, firmware and OS protection into TravelMate and Veriton series to safeguard confidential data of the users. Loaded with commercial bios that helps IT departments to manage and maintain the devices, the new TravelMate and Veriton devices also come with the Acer office manager and Windows AutoPilot to simplify the deployment process while ensuring top security.
The TravelMate and Veriton are powered by the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processor, accompanied by with 4GB or 8GB RAM, and equipped with 256GB or 512GB SSD to enable fast loading speeds. These devices have high upgradability to enable companies to enhance performance and extend the lifespan of the devices without the necessity of a full replacement, resulting in cost savings and reduced electronic waste.
The TravelMate and Veriton Vero series are shipped in green packaging using 100% plastic-free and recyclable packaging. On top of the recycled cardboard, recycled paper from moulded pulp, the devices are protected in recycled PE bags.
The Acer TravelMate laptop prices start from RM3,249. The 360-degree TravelMate Spin P4 convertible laptop with flappable hinge for additional flexibility to share content is priced at RM5,699. The price for the TravelMate P6 that comes with 14-inch OLED display is RM6,899. In addition, Veriton desktop prices start from RM2,749, while the Veriton Vero AIO desktop (VZ4714G-51348W11PS) that comes with a 23.8-inch wide FHD display is priced at RM4,699 and the Veriton Vero mini is priced at RM3,499.
Altos Workstations
Acer Malaysia has also unveiled two new additions to their workstation and server lineup, the Altos P130 F9 Workstation and Altos BrainSphere R360 F5.
The Altos P130 F9 is a high-performance workstation that is designed to meet the requirements of heavy workloads and provides the flexibility to customise and grow the systems to meet future needs while retaining a high level of reliability.
The Altos BrainSphereR360 F5 features a compact 1U system design (i.e. the size is 1 bay in a standard server rack).
