AMD has announced new additions for its Ryzen Threadripper lineup. To be more specific, the new lineup comes with a new nomenclature: Ryzen Threadripper Pro. New processors include the Threadripper Pro 3995WX, 3975WX, 3955WX and 3945WX.
New AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro Processors
When it comes to specifications, AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper Pro features up to 64 CPU cores and 128 threads. The commonality between all four aforementioned processors are their TDP (280W) and PCIe 4.0 lanes (128). Full specifications of each aforementioned HEDT (High End Desktop) processors can be found in the image below.
In addition to the launch of new Ryzen Threadripper Pro CPUs, AMD has also announced its partnership with Lenovo, and as a result, both companies have debuted the ThinkStation P620 workstation. This workstation PC is dubbed as the “world’s first 64 core PRO workstation system, powered by the Threadripper Pro 3995WX.” Expect this PC to be made available sometime in Fall 2020.
Speaking of which, AMD has, unfortunately, not given a specific release date for its Ryzen Threadripper Pro processors here in Malaysia.
