The Mi Band 5 will be unveiled soon, but tech retailer, Gearbest has just listed the product on its website before the official launch, detailing the Mi Band 5’s specifications.
Mi Band 5
The Mi Band 5 now features a 20% larger screen compared to the Mi Band 4, from a 0.95-inch screen to now a larger 1.1-inch dynamic colour screen.
It now also features magnetic charging with the charging point right below the heart rate monitor. This means you don’t need to always disassemble the Mi dial from your Mi strap.
The Mi Band 5 now also features NFC Quickpass which lets you make Unionpay payments faster right from your Mi Band 5 with its built-in NFC chip.
Want to take a picture but you’re quite a distance from your smartphone? The Mi Band 5 now supports the remote camera function, which lets you use the band as a remote shutter button.
Apart from that, the Mi Band 5 now also has an upgraded professional sensor which lets you have more accurate health monitoring. Apart from that, it can track up to 11 sports modes, and there’s also a new female health model onboard too.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Mi Band 5 is currently listed on Gearbest’s site at $39.99, which is approximately RM170. There is no official pricing yet, so we’ll just have to take this price with a pinch of salt.
