How? Apart from keeping your food fresh and clean, the Samsung Family Hub has a huge touch display on the outside that shows you the inside of the fridge using an internal camera. That way you can save energy by not opening the doors and restarting the cooler motors to run.
What else can you do with the big screen? Get recipes and create grocery shopping list, of course. The Recipes app lets you browse many simple recipes online, and the Weekly Meal Planner suggests meals for you to cook everyday, based on what food you have stored in the fridge. You can also start a shopping list by touch or by voice, and it will automatically sync to your smartphone so you’ll never forget that butter your wife asked to buy.
The Family Board lets you share all your precious family moments on the Samsung Family Hub. From photos to video clips, post stickers and drawings, to handwritten notes, you can even share website links or play music right from the fridge itself using the Spotify or TuneIn app.
The Samsung Family Hub also constantly reminds you of essential information. The Morning Brief shows you the day’s weather and news, and the Calendar app will make sure you’re reminded of important events of the day, week, or month. Not only that, you can even write or draw your own memo to “stick” onto the Family Board. A sweet note to mum? A simple reminder for dad? Just draw it, and stick it to the Family Board.
Take full advantage of the large screen of the Family Hub by casting over your favourite TV shows, or do a quick browse on the Internet with the built-in browser. New Bixby also lets you control your Samsung smart appliances at home right from the Family Hub with SmartThings integration! Turn on the air conditioner, get the robot vacuum cleaner going, set the air purifier to clean the air, and more right from a touch on the Samsung Family Hub.
With your smartphone connected to the Family Hub, you can even make or take calls from the fridge. Yes, right from the fridge itself.
When it comes to technical specifications, the Samsung Family Hub side-by-side fridge has a gross total and net total capacity of 661L and 628L respectively. It runs on a Digital Inverter to save electricity, and comes complete with the PowerCool and PowerFreeze functions. It uses the R600a refrigerant, has a low noise level of 40dBa, and is of course Wi-Fi embedded with Vacation Mode.
