Apart from the ZenScreen Touch, ASUS also announced a portable monitor that’s catered for the gamers who are always on-the-go. Meet the ROG Strix XG17.
Based on the model number, you could tell from the get-go this is a 17-inch display – 17.3-inch to be exact. The monitor features a Full HD IPS panel, with an insane refresh rate of 240Hz. It also has built-in speakers for louder volumes, three-hour battery life, micro-HDMI and USB Type-C ports.
Having 240Hz refresh rate on a monitor is great for gaming, but that can really take a toll on the battery life. Hence, the three hour duration. We can see the ROG Strix XG17 being used with smaller gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch, smartphones, or even the Playstation 4 for those who are determined enough to bring it out with them.
At the time of writing, ASUS has yet to announce pricing or availability dates yet. Stay tuned to AXO for more updates on the ROG Strix XG17.
