There’s been even more choices popping up if you’re looking to purchase an affordable 5G smartphone. The Honor 30 Lite (aka Youth) is the company’s latest affordable 5G smartphone options among the Honor 30 series, and it will start selling in China on the 8th of July.
Honor 30 Lite
The Honor 30 Lite is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset, allowing it to be 5G-ready. Packed with four Cortex-A76 and four A55 cores (all clocked at 2GHz) built on the 7nm process, the phone also has a Mali-G57 MC4 onboard.
There are two variants to choose from, one is a 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant, while the other is a beefier 8GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. Running on Magic UI 3.1 based on Android 10, the device will have Huawei Mobile Services. So that means, no Google.
The Honor 30 Lite’s display is a 6.5-inch LCD panel with FHD+ resolution. It has a 90Hz refresh rate with 180Hz touch sampling rate. On the top, housed in the teardrop notch is a 16MP sensor for selfies. It can allow you to unlock your phone with your face, or you can use the side-mounter fingerprint sensor instead.
In the camera department, there’s a triple camera system which consists of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. The 48MP main camera is capable of 4K video recording, complete with EIS and support for Super Night Mode.
Powering the Honor 30 Lite is a 4,000mAh battery, which supports 22.5W fast charging via USB Type-C. Honor is claiming it charge up to 53% in just 30 minutes. You will also find a 3.5mm audio jack, and Wi-Fi 5 with dual SIM connectivity within.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor 30 Lite will go on sale in China on the 8th of July, and they will be priced as below. No word yet on whether these will be made available in Malaysia, but we’ll definitely keep you updated when and if it does.
