Acer Malaysia today introduced a slew of new product in its Swift and Predator Helios offerings.
Acer Swift Thin & Light Laptops
Joining the Acer Swift lineup are two new thin and light laptops, the Acer Swift 14 and Swift Go.
The new Acer Swift series incorporates ocean-bound plastic in its make without compromising functionality and experience. For example, the touchpad is made with OceanGlass that offers a glass-like tactile feeling as fingers scroll across the touchpad.Both Swift 14 and Swift Go feature an air inlet design that pairs with Acer’s TwinAir dual-fan system and D6 copper heat pipes to increase airflow.
Acer Swift 14
The Swift 14 carries on the legacy of the Swift 5, boasting an aerospace-grade aluminium unibody chassis, expertly crafted with CNC machining. It also features a 14.95mm thin chassis, while packing an up to 13th Gen Intel Core i7 H-series processor with Intel Irix Xe Graphics. The laptop also offers more than 10 hours of battery life. The Switch 14 comes with a bevy of connectivity features such as Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 6E.
Complimenting the hardware is 1TB of SSD storage, and either 8GB or 16GB of onboard LPDDR5 RAM. The 14-inch IPS display features a WQXGA resolution protected by Antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass.
Acer Swift Go
The Swift Go is designed for the energetic generation who prefer to work or study on the go. It provides flexibility and convenience to stay productive regardless of location. The Swift Go comes in a 14.9mm aluminium chassis that weighs only 1.25kg, while providing 13 hours of battery life.
It features a 14-inch FHD IPS display with 90% screen-to-body ratio. Powering the device is an up to AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor, complemented by up to 16GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 512GB SSD.
Despite the size, the Swift Go 14 is still able to offer a variety of ports, including USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD card reader.
Both Acer Swift 14 and Swift Go will be available by end of April 2023 at Acer eStore and official stores on Shopee and Lazada. The Swift 14 will be priced from RM4,299, while the Swift Go is priced from RM3,199.
Acer Predator Helios 16 & 18 Gaming Laptops
Launched together with the thin and lights are two Predator Helios series of gaming laptops, the Helios 16 and Helios 18.
The Predator Helios 16 and Helios 18 are equipped with new design and upgraded thermals. Both laptops are powered by 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080. They can be completed with up to 32GB of DDR5-5600Mhz RAM and up to 2TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD in RAID 0.
Both laptops are also equipped with 16-inch and 18-inch displays in 16:10 aspect ratio. The displays come in WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution with up to 240Hz refresh rate.
The Helios laptops will retail from RM8,999. Pre-orders placed before 30 April 2023 at selected stores will receive freebies worth more than RM1,600, which includes an XV272 monitor, a Predator Urban Gaming Backpack, a Predator R6 Chibi Figurine and an Acer SuperCare 2 that provides 3 years on-site warranty with accidental damage and theft coverage.
Acer Aspire 7
The new Aspire 7 is now equipped with a 12th Generation Intel Core i5 H-series processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX1650 GPU. It comes with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display and 144Hz refresh rate for a smoother gaming experience. It is also paired with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 512GB SSD.
The Acer Aspire 7 is priced at RM3,199 and is available by end of April 2023.
