AirAsia has come up with its own “Unlimited Pass” that lets you fly as much as you want in the course of a year. For a fixed price of RM499, this offer applies to all AirAsia BIG members in Malaysia.
How Can I Get It?
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass can be purchased from AirAsia Deals or the Deals section within the AirAsia app. You can purchase the pass starting from 12:01pm on the 29th February, till 11:59pm on the 7th of March 2020. It doesn’t seem like there are limited quantities available, as of this writing. Once you’ve purchased the pass, you’ll be able to travel between the 2nd of March 2020 till 2nd March 2021.
Where Can I Fly To?
The AirAsia Unlimited Pass only applies to flights over 4 hours with the code D7 (AirAsia X) and XJ (AirAsia Thai). This applies to countries like:
- Australia
- Korea
- Japan
- India
- China
Excluding:
- Singapore
- Denpasar (Bali)
- Jeddah
How Do I Book A Flight with AirAsia Unlimited Pass?
All you need to do is receive a promo code issued from AirAsia, and the discount will minus off the base fare. You will still need to pay for the add-ons such as airport charges, taxes, and regulatory fees. All flight bookings made with the pass must be made at least fourteen (14) days before the flight departure date.
This of course, is subject to seat availability. It’s worth noting that an embargo period applies, and flight redemption will not be available on all flights during public holidays, school breaks, and weekends.
When a flight has been booked with the pass, you will not be allowed to change your flight booking. No refunds will be issued either for any unutilised Unlimited Pass purchased. When it comes to no-shows, you are only allowed a total of three (3) times. After that, AirAsia will have the right to forfeit your unlimited pass.
