One of the most anticipated brand new IPs from Ubisoft is confirmed to be cancelled. The developer has had a rough few weeks, following a poor earnings call, plummeting share price, and threats of an employee strike.
However, more bad news seem to follow the studio. Project Q, a PVP video game that was announced via Twitter back in April 2022, is cancelled. Ubisoft has now confirmed with VGC that the game has been cancelled. In the previous week, Ubisoft had confirmed the cancellation of three unannounced projects to focus its resources on existing brands, and it appears the already announced Project Q is part of it.
Project Q: A PVP Battle Arena
The game was supposed to be a PVP Battle Arena. The developers had also clarified it is not a battle royale, but rather “will feature a variety of PvP modes with one single goal in mind: FUN!”
