Sony has launched the Float Run headphones designed to solve in-ear instability for runners. According to Sony, users can enjoy comfortable, stable, and easy-to-use headphones that will make their music sound great and keep them motivated on their run. They claim that the special off-ear design can provide extended comfort without having to worry about pressure or stuffiness on the ears.
The Japanese electronics brand has coined the term “off-ear” to describe the headphones. Unlike traditional on-ear headphones, they are held in place with ear hooks connected by a short flexible band so that they stay in place no matter how the runner moves.
Key Features
The Sony Float Run features IPX4 water resistance and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. It also sports an up to 10 hours battery life with USB-C charging. ANC is definitely out of the question, but Sony managed to fit a 16mm driver into the headphones.
