Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 5 7.00 update is expected to feature full Discord integration and steaming PS5 games via cloud.
As per Insider Gaming’s sources, the update is slated for 8 March 2023, with a public beta coming in the next few days. However, they have noted that the Discord integration will not be available during the beta test.
PS5 Discord Integration

Discord integration was revealed back in 2021 by Jim Ryan, president and CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment. Since then, there is little information regarding the integration aside from a few sporadic rumours.
Cloud Gaming

In addition to Discord, the 7.00 update also brings game streaming to PS5 via cloud streaming. Dubbed “Project Cronus”, it was said that this feature will be included in the PlayStation Plus Premium Tier.
We can’t wait for the official news, and if true, we can finally save some previous disk space and yell at our friends on Discord in the following months.
