If you have never switched to Chinese, Japanese or Korean dub, then the Hu Tao rap could finally be the reason why you should. While the long-awaited Lantern Rite event brings copious amounts of content and rewards, there is one thing that all Genshin Impact fans agree on – Hu Tao should never be allowed to sing again.

Hu Tao, a fan favourite director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor joins Xinyan to perform on stage as the to perform “The Blaze Lilies” in front of a crowd. Xinyan plays her signature instrument / weapon while everybody’s favourite walnut raps in what could only be described as a ‘lyrical and rhythmic trainwreck’. You can hear it for yourself via the video below:
Hu Tao Rap Attributed To Localisation Difficulties

However, the fanbase largely agree that the rap segment is most likely a localisation issue rather than the norm, as the original song is written in Chinese. The Japanese and Korean dubs also did not suffer from the same issue.
To their credit however, localizing songs is extremely hard. And it gets even harder considering the voice actress needs to singalong to a beat not written in her native language.
