Design

The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a very standard design, where everything is just right where it is for most of the smartphones nowadays. There are no buttons on the left, while the power button which also acts as the fingerprint sensor, and the volume buttons are on the right. You have the dual speaker grilles on the top and bottom, with the 3.5mm audio jack on the top, while the USB Type-C port for data and charging can be found at the bottom along with the sim card slot.

The frame and back panel of the phone has a matte finish texture to it which is nice to hold but you do get some palm and fingerprints on it although it is not very visible in comparison to glossed finish. It has a very stylish flat design instead of the usual curve design which is friendlier to hold for long periods. It weights just 202g while 8.12mm thick.
Display

When it comes to the display, it is definitely a better experience in comparison with the Redmi Note 11 as it supports up to 120Hz refresh rate. It has a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED DotDisplay that can push out 700 nits of brightness with the peak maxing out at 1,200 nits. That is really bright, and the vivid colours on the display were presented really well even under harsh direct sunlight. However, we do notice a slight issue where the auto brightness display sensor is too sensitive that we needed to manually adjust the display brightness most of the time to see clearly.

As mentioned the refresh rate is 120Hz, and it has a 360Hz touch sampling rate for faster touchscreen response which is much superior that the Redmi Note 11. The refresh rate helps a lot on decreasing screen display lag when scrolling around or navigating around the UI.
User Experience

Using the Redmi Note 11 Pro, it is really thin and light for its given size. Personally I prefer to have a smaller sized device, however gaming and entertainment on the larger screen does have its advantages where it is more comfortable for long hours of use instead of having to squeeze your eyes to a smaller display.
The texture of the Redmi Note 11 Pro feels great in the hands and doesn’t slip from your grip. The camera bump is not to my liking as it had two layers to it, where the higher layers houses the main camera and I am always concerned about hitting it or scratching it due to the bulge. However, the casing that comes with it has a heighten frame around the camera bump which follows the layers.
The phone’s display has a very thin bezel which is comfortable to have and to look at. Some phone have an infinite display which extends to the tip of the frame which is nice to look at but hard to navigate at times especially when you have a phone casing on which often touches the side of the display.
Performance
Now, let’s take a look at performance. It runs on the MediaTek Helio G96, it’s overall performance scores better than the Redmi Note 11. However, even with the game turbo turned on it is not able to run high performance demand games like Genshin Impact on high graphic mode.
Here are the benchmarks we ran on the Redmi Note 11 pro:

Camera

The Redmi Note 11 Pro has a higher spec camera in comparison with the Redmi Note 11. It has a 108MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide camera, 2MP macro camera and 2MP depth camera. The main camera is rested on the high level camera bump with a prominent placing while the rest settles under along with the flash light and sensors.

Battery
In terms of battery life, the 5,000mAh battery on the Redmi Note 11 pro is able to carry you through out the whole day no matter you are always on social media or replying emails and messages with it.
In the box, you get the 67W charging adapter to charge the phone with their turbo charging technology.
Conclusion

The Redmi Note 11 Pro is price at RM 1,099, the pricing raise from the non-pro version is reasonable considering the hardware upgrade you get from it. If you have the extra budget, I would definitely recommend you to grab the pro version for a better performance device for a daily driver.
The Redmi Note 11 pro is now available on Shopee, Lazada and their official store.
