Logitech Signature M650 Review: Tickle Me Pink!

Logitech Signature M650 Review

Logitech recently launched the new Logitech Signature M650, and for someone that uses only Logitech mice, I was jumping for joy and itching to get my hands on it. So when Logitech reached out to offer a unit for review, you know we’d say yes. But, it should be known that The AXO’s review will still remain honest and true, regardless the product was given or sponsored. With that out of the way, let’s get into it.

Design

Logitech Signature M650 Review

I am absolutely in love with how the Logitech Signature M650 looks. It’s so me. It’s rounded in all corners, has a matte finish and most importantly, it’s pink. Yes, if you couldn’t tell from the pictures, I’m a pink lover.

I really like how there are two customizable buttons located on the left side of the mouse, where your thumb can easily reach them. When I connected it to my laptop, immediately it prompted me to download the Logitech Options Plus software so I can customise my favourite shortcuts. I chose the ‘copy’ and ‘paste’ feature for each button and let me tell you, it is extremely useful for me. It has definitely increased my work efficiency, and productivity levels have been off the charts.

Did I also mention, they have a choice of sizes including a left-handed option? To all my leftys, Logitech’s got your back.

Comfort

Logitech Signature M650 Review

Previously I was using the Logitech Pebble M350 mouse and everyone around me criticised it for being “so flat”. But, I never felt that it was that bad until I switched to this Logitech Signature M650. Wow, I definitely have been missing out. The Logitech Signature M650 has a contoured shape and it fits snugly in my palm grip. The soft thumb area feels really comfortable together with the rubber side grips.

As for the weight of the mouse, I think 111.2g suits me well. I can easily move the mouse without having to use too much strength and my inner OCD self loves that it is wireless. No more cables running across the table making the whole place look like a mess. Not that it was in the first place.

Performance

Logitech Signature M650 Review

Like I said before, I find that the Logitech Signature M650 really does help with the overall performance and user experience. I can’t stop raving about the customisable buttons, as they feel very nice to press too. With the Logitech Options Plus I was also able to choose how sensitive I want my tracking to be. In my use case, I set it at a 50% DPI.

That being said, the sensitivity of the Smart Wheel is through the roof. I just have to give it a flick and it has super fast and precise scrolling. You can also customise the sensitivity of the Smart Wheel using the Logitech Options Plus software. Similarly to my DPI, I set it at 50%.

Other than that, it is equipped with all of my must-have features in a mouse such as the SilentTouch technology for silent clicks so nobody in the office will look at me when I vigorously work on some designs. And of course, seamless compatibility with multiple platforms such as Windows, macOS, Linux, Chrome OS, ipadOS and Android operating systems. It works perfectly with my Macbook, work Windows laptop, as well as iPad Air.

I also want to add that it comes with an AA battery that will last for 2 years when you first open it up. How thoughtful of them!

Software – Logitech Options Plus

As mentioned above, the Logitech Signature M650 does indeed work well with the Logitech Option Plus, just like most Logitech mice would. This is where I was able to map out what I want each button to do, and set scroll and pointer sensitivity to my preference. The software was very easy to navigate. It was straightforward to the point that it literally only took me one minute to set everything up and start using my mouse.

Conclusion

Logitech Signature M650 Review

Overall, I really love how the Logitech Signature M650 looks and feels. It checks off all my boxes of a great mouse and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone who isn’t looking for a gaming mouse but more of a mouse to improve your overall work experience. It has a beautiful (pink) design that matches my set up very well for only RM 159. Of course if pink isn’t your thing, there’s Graphite and Off-White colour options available as well.
