Playing Genshin Impact till there’s no tomorrow? Same here. We’re currently on the Klee banner, but most of us have been thinking. What’s next? Well, we came across this leak posted by ququyou. According to them, Mihoyo has already lined up several character banners through to March 2023.
UPDATE 28 February 2023: Added Version 3.5 banners, Baizhu and Kaveh banners in the rumour mill.
Genshin Impact Wish Event Banners
Version 1.0

There was that Venti event banner that spanned from the 28th of September to the 18th of October. The banner saw a probability increase for Venti/Barbatos, the Anemo Archon.

Next, there’s the Klee banner, everyone’s new favourite loli (?). This current banner will be running from the 20th of October to the 9th of November.
Version 1.1

Zhongli’s banner was expected to come right after Klee’s banner, and introduced on the 1.1 update. However, he has been pushed back, and Childe’s banner will first take the slot. Accompanying him in RATE UP is Ningguang, Diona, and Beidou.
Debuting along with the Childe banner, the Wanderlust Invocation standard banner has been replaced with probability up for Mona, 5-star Hydro user, Keqing – 5-star Electro sword user, and Qiqi – 5-star Cryo sword user.

After the Childe banner, there’ll be a one day gap before we get the Zhongli banner. This banner will see a probability increase for Zhongli, a Geo user. The Zhongli banner will also see Xinyan, Razor, and Chongyun getting probability increase.
The end of Zhongli’s banner will also see the expansion of the Dragonspine map in the game. This update will arrive on the 23rd of December 2020 to the 12th of January 2020. This also means that the new banner featuring genius alchemist, Albedo will arrive! It also features four star characters – Bennett, Sucrose, and Fischl.
Version 1.2

Albedo is gone, and that means Ganyu is here. She will be accompanied with Xiangling, Xingqiu, and Noelle as the 4-star characters. Ganyu is a 5-star cryo bow user, and she was released on the 12th of January 2021. Launched along with her banner is her exclusive story quest, which you will need a story key to unlock.

Version 1.3
Lastly, if you’ve all been waiting for this character, Xiao’s character banner event and the Lantern Rites act will only be released from the 3rd of February 2021 to the 23rd of February 2020 in the Genshin Impact 1.3 Update, right after Ganyu’s banner is over. He will be accompanied by Diona, Beidou, and Xinyan.

As seen on the image above, Keqing will be the next character to get a rate-up, which will debut on the 17th of February 2021 right after Xiao’s banner ends. She will be accompanied by Barbara, Ningguang, and Bennett once again.

Last but not least, the final banner to be featured in the v1.3 update is none other than Hu Tao, accompanied by Xingqiu, Chongyun, and Xiangling!
Version 1.4

Venti will be back, on the next rate up banner, which will debut on the 17th of March 2021 right after Hutao’s banner ends. He will be accompanied by 4-star characters Noelle, Sucrose and Razer.

Happening right after Venti’s banner is Childe, and he will be accompanied by new 4-star character Rosaria, along with Fischl and Barbara. The banner will debut on the 6th of April, which is just one day after Venti’s banner ends. The weapon banner that will go with Childe’s banner features the Skyward Harp, and Lost Prayer To The Sacred Winds, along with the new Alley Hunter 4-star Bow.
Version 1.5

With the release of the Genshin Impact 1.5 update, players will get a Zhongli banner re-run first, with Eula’s debut banner coming right after. The new 4-star pyro catalyst user will be joining Zhongli’s banner, along with Noelle and Diona. Meanwhile, the new 5-star cryo claymore user will be having her banner during the second half of Genshin’s 1.5 update.
Following up after Zhongli is none other than the Spindrift Knight herself, Eula! She will be accompanied by Xinyan, Xingqiu, as well as Beidou, which is surprisingly three claymore characters in one banner. As for the weapon banner, her signature weapon the “Song of Broken Pines” will debut alongside the Aquila Favonia 5-star sword.
Version 1.6

After the Version 1.6 update – 2021-06-29 17:59:00
In version 1.6, the first banner to come will be Klee, the 5-star Pyro bomber, while being accompanied by Sucrose, Fischl, and Barbara. The banner will last for 20 days, which then will be replaced by Kazuha’s banner, the new 5-star Anemo sword-wielder.

2021-06-29 18:00:00 – 2021-07-20 14:59:59
Following up will be Kaedehara Kazuha, the 5-star Anemo sword user after Jean. He is accompanied by Bennett, Razor and Rosaria. The banner will last for 22 days. Along with Kazuha’s featured banner, the weapon banner will be featuring the Freedom Sworn sword which is said to be Kazuha’s signature weapon and the 5 star catalyst Skyward Atlas.
Version 2.0

Debuting off the latest Genshin Impact 2.0 update, will be none other than the long awaited Kamisato Ayaka, a 5-star cryo sword user. Alongside her in the banner, will be the 4-star characters Ningguang, Chongyun, and Yanfei!

Yoimiya, the 5-star Pyro bow user is coming up next, and she’ll be debuting alongside Sayu, the 4-star Anemo Claymore ninja! Joining the banner is also Diona and Xinyan!
Version 2.1

Right off the bat, Baal the Raiden Shogun will lead the first banner in the 2.1 update, alongside new 4-star Electro Bow character – Sara Kujou! Standard 4 stars Sucrose and Xiangling will complete the banner.

Sangonomiya Kokomi is the next banner in the 2.1 update, a 5-star healer who uses a Catalyst and the Hydro element. She’s accompanied by 4-star characters Rosaria, Beidou, and Xingqiu.
Version 2.2

Childe makes yet another return in Version 2.2 update, alongside 4-star characters Ningguang, Chongyun and Yanfei! This would be the third time Childe has had a re-run, making him the character with the most comeback!

Version 2.2 also marks an update of re-runs as the second half of the Wish event would feature 5-star Polearm Pyro user, Hu Tao. The new 4-star Pyro Polearm user, Thoma, would also debut in this banner together with Sayu and Diona.
Version 2.3

Version 2.2 will see the debut of Genshin Impact’s new dual banner system, where the pity count is shared for both banners. Essentially, players will be able to choose which 5-star character they want, and they’d share the same 4-star characters. Eula and Albedo will be returning in this banner.

And the One and Oni, Arataki Itto makes his grand debut! A 5-star Geo Claymore user, accompanied by the new 4-star Geo Bow user, Gorou! Xiangling and Barbara will also be available in this banner.
Version 2.4

In the upcoming version 2.4 update, the new 5-star Cryo Polearm user, Shenhe will be debuting together with the new 4-star Geo Polearm user, Yunjin! Xiao will also be the second banner in the dual-banner system of the first half of the version 2.4 Wish Event!
In the second half of the Wish event is also another dual-banner system. This time, we’ll see the return of Ganyu as well as Zhongli in conjunction with the annual lantern rite festival. These two are must-have characters, in my opinion. One’s the ultimate shielder, while the other a DPS charged attack carry.
Version 2.5

Miko will make her debut during the first phase of event banners. As for the second phase, we will see a re-run of the Raiden Shogun (5-star Electro Polearm), as well as Sangonomiya Kokomi (5-star Hydro Catalyst). There are no new 4-star characters in this update, however, it is rumoured that Thoma (4-star Pyro Polearm) will make a return in Yae Miko’s event banner.
Version 2.6

Genshin Impact Version 2.6 saw Kamisato Ayato, a 5-star Hydro Sword user enter the fray alongside Venti’s re-run in the first half. Ayato has proven to be a powerful Hydro sword DPS, and is a force to be reckoned with when paired with his sister, Ayaka which returns on the second half of the patch.
Version 2.7

Version 2.7 saw the introduction of the much anticipated Yelan (5-star Hydro Bow), alongside Xiao’s re-run. The second phase will see the return of Arataki Itto, alongside a new 4-star Electro Sword character, Kuki Shinobu.
Version 2.8

Genshin Impact Version 2.8 has no new 5-star characters. However, Shikanoin Heizou, a new 4-star Anemo Catalyst user joins Kaedehara Kazuha and Klee in the first phase. Second phase will see Yoimiya’s re-run instead. Kaedehara Kazuha is a great Anemo support, basically Sucrose on steroids, so we recommend getting him if you can.
Version 3.0

Genshin Impact Version 3.0 will finally bring us to Sumeru, and with it, the new Dendro element. In this patch, we will see dual banners for both banner phases. Kickstarting phase 1 is Tighnari, a new 5-star Dendro Bow character, alongside Zhongli’s re-run. A new Dendro Bow 4-star, Collei also makes an appearance.

Phase 2 is largely a re-run banner, with the return of Ganyu and Sangonomiya Kokomi. However, Dori, a 4-star Electro Claymore user will make her first appearance as well.
Version 3.1

In the first phase of Version 3.1, Genshin Impact introduces two new playable characters: Cyno (5-star Electro Polearm) and Candace (4-star Hydro Polearm). Venti also makes a return for his re-run.

For the second phase, Nilou makes her debut as a 5-star Hydro Sword user, alongside Albedo’s re-run.
Version 3.2

Dendro Archon Nahida (5-star Dendro Catalyst) finally makes her debut after appearing in the Archon Quest. Alongside her is Yoimiya’s re-run bannner, despite having appeared for her re-run 3 patches ago.

In phase 2, we can expect Yae Miko and Tartaglia appearing in a double re-run banner. However, we are introduced to Layla, a new Cryo Sword character.
Version 3.3

Scaramouche finally makes his appearance as a playable character, this time under the Wanderer moniker (5-star Anemo Catalyst), alongside Arataki Itto’s re-run. Faruzan (4-star Anemo Bow) will also appear for the first time.

Phase 2 will see both Raiden Shogun and Kamisato Ayato returning for yet another double re-run banner. Both characters are versatile options and performed great in the current meta, and you can’t go wrong with pulling for either of them.
Version 3.4

Alhaitham (5-star Dendro Sword) and Yaoyao (4-star Dendro Polearm) will make their debut alongside Xiao’s re-run banner in phase 1.

Hu Tao and Yelan will have their re-run banners in phase 2 as well.
Version 3.5

Genshin Impact Version 3.5 will introduce players to Dehya, a new 5-star Pyro Claymore user, alongside Cyno’s first re-run in phase 1.

For phase 2, Ayaka and Shenhe will have their re-run banners. A new 4-star Cryo Polearm user, Mika will make his debut here.
Upcoming Confirmed Characters

The Genshin Impact team has recently shared that two new characters: Kaveh and Baizhu will be featured in the upcoming patch after Version 3.6. Not much is known about them just yet, so stay tuned for future updates.
