Xiaomi today announced the Redmi 9T, which is the company’s latest addititon to the Redmi lineup during a global livestream. Dubbed as the new king of entry-level, fans will be delighted to know that the Redmi 9T will be making its official appearance in Malaysia as soon as 15th of January 2021. That is just a few days away till we get our hands on this device that promises exceptional performance and multi-day battery life.

The Redmi 9T is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, which is built on the 11nm process. The device is paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. For its display, it is using a 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot Drop display, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for further protection. It also comes with Widevine L1 and TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certifications for a more enjoyable viewing experience.
The Redmi 9T features a quad camera system on the rear, which consists of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor (large group photos and wide landscape shots can be taken without cropping), a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The device also supports a new time lapse and movie frame feature that gives photos a more cinematic look without any further editing.
Running on a 6,000mAh battery, the Redmi 9T supports MIUI battery saving mode, reverse wired charging for multi-day usage. It also supports 18W fast charging, while the in-box charger has a 22.5W rating, nice!
The Redmi 9T features a modern and minimalistic design with its rounded corners and an anti-fingerprint textured back. When it comes to colour options, you have the choice of choosing between four color variants – Carbon Gray, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Ocean Green.
Pricing And Availability
Starting from January 15, the Redmi 9T will be available in 4GB+64GB version for RM599 and 6GB+128GB version for RM699. Both versions will be available online at the official Xiaomi store on Lazada and Shopee, as well as offline at all Authorized Mi Stores and other official retailers in Malaysia.
