The Xiaomi Mi 11 is powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor, which is built on the 5nm process. It is also paired with the latest Adreno 660 GPU complete with the 6th generation Qualcomm AI engine X60 modem. Memory configuration wise, it has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage.
Camera wise, Xiaomi this time dubbed the Mi 11 as the ultimate pocket-sized movie studio. This is because the phone promises to turn any novice photo and video enthusiast into a film director with its triple rear camera setup. On the rear, we have a 108MP main wide-angle sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle sensor, and a 5MP telemacro sensor. In charge of selfies, on the front there is a 20MP sensor housed within the punch-hole display.
Feature wise, the Mi 11 offers improved night mode capabilities on three of its camera sensors – primary, ultra-wide, and front. The phone also has RAW-level noise reduction for brighter night shooting, and a six one-click AI cinema feature that makes artsy captures a breeze:
- Parallel World – Duplicates and inverts your scene to give the appearance of a mirrored world.
- Freeze Frame Video – Freezes and clones video frames to create the illusion that parts of your video are frozen in time.
- Magic Zoom mode – Creating an illusion of the camera simultaneously zooming in and out of the scene, a trick originally popularized through thriller films.
Mi 11 now offers studio-level shooting control with its HDR10+ recording and new Pro Time-lapse mode, capable of adjusting shutter speed, ISO, aperture and EV to handle even the most challenging lighting situations. Studio-level control also extends to editing with advanced AI features, including AI Erase 2.0 which allows users to remove unwanted objects or lines from images with one simple click.
As for the Mi 11’s display, it features a 6.81-inch AMOLED DotDisplay, which received an A+ rating from DisplayMate. It has a WQHD+ resolution with 10-bit colour technology, complete with a 120Hz refresh rate and a whopping 480Hz touch sampling rate. Not only does the display look smoother, it also tracks your touches more accurately. Under the display, there is also the in-screen fingerprint sensor.
Equipped with the latest LiquidCool heat dissipation system, the device effortlessly deals with extreme gaming and other high-capacity operations while staying cool. At the same time, its 4600mAh supports 55W wired, 50W wireless and 10W reverse charging. To make things even better, Xiaomi also will be including a 55W GaN charger in the box.
For its audio system, the Mi 11 has a dual speaker system that’s tuned by Harman Kardon. To protect the device, it is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus technology to prevent falls and drops. The device will be available in two colours – Midnight Grey and Horizon Blue.
