The Sony WF-1000XM4 has officially been announced by Sony Malaysia today, being the successor to the WF-1000XM3 that was launched back in 2019. Pre-orders have already started from today, till the 15th of July.
The Sony WF-1000XM4 now features a more rounded, compact, ergonomic design. It is packed with the company’s new V1 Integrated Processor which features a more advanced form of active noise cancellation (ANC). When it comes to voice pickup, the earbuds have a total of four noise sensor microphones – two on each earbud, where it can hear and analyze ambient noises.
In terms of sound performance, the Sony WF-1000XM4 will be equipped with a newly designed 6mm driver unit, together with a high compliance diaphragm to offer better performance in low frequencies while enhancing noise cancellation.
As with other Sony products, the Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds are also supporting the company’s Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC audio coding technology. Despite its size, it is also packed with DSEE Extreme audio upscaling technology, as well as Speak-to-chat feature. This feature would allow you to pause the music whenever you start to speak, or if someone else is trying to talk to you.
To sweeten the deal, the Sony WF-1000XM4 also supports Sony’s own Adaptive Sound Control technology. This allows the earbuds to adjust the ambient noise level automatically, depending on the surrounding you’re in.
Pricing And Availability
The Sony WF-1000XM4 has been slated for an official public release in the middle of July. It will retail for the price of RM1,099, and pre-orders have already begun from today to the 15th of July.
