Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021

The Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event has been scheduled for the 14th of January 2021, and it will bring Samsung devices to the world earlier than usual. The theme this time is called “Welcome to the Everyday Epic”.

“Over the past year, mobile technology has taken center stage in everyday life as people are working remotely and spending more time at home,” “The accelerated transition to a mobile-first world brings with it the need for devices that can transform everyday life into an extraordinary experience.”

A January 14th date for their Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2021 event is a little earlier than usual, where the company usually announces new flagship devices in February either before or during the MWC trade show with the devices launching into the market in March/April. The Samsung Galaxy S20 lineup and Galaxy Z Flip was announced on the 11th of February 2020.

“We have never believed in a one-size-fits-all mobile experience and we never will,” “Samsung is working on revolutionary advancements in 5G,” artificial intelligence and the internet of things “that will redefine the parameters of what mobile can do and give consumers the freedom to tailor their mobile experiences to fit their lives — not the other way around.”Tae-moon Roh, Samsung President and Head Of Mobile Communications

The new Samsung Galaxy S series is touted to be revealed at the event, which will run the same time as the all-virtual CES electronics show. It is likely that Samsung will have three different models of its flagship series:

  • 6.2-inch Galaxy S21
  • 6.7-inch Galaxy S21 Plus
  • 6.8-inch Galaxy S21 Ultra

These devices might look similar with the difference being in the size of the camera modules. Another rumour that has been going around the mill is that the company might also discontinue the Galaxy Note line this year, replacing with the S Pen support on the Galaxy S21 Ultra instead.

Before you catch the official livestream, Samsung is also inviting you to have a first look at the devices on the 7th of January, 2021. The time to look out for is 12AM, and it will be streamed on Samsung Malaysia’s official website.
