OPPO today announced the arrival of the OPPO Reno5 series in Malaysia, which includes the standard OPPO Reno5 5G and the Reno5 Pro 5G. Boasting improved photography, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone starts from just RM1,899.

Let’s first take a look what are the similarities between the two devices. Both the OPPO Reno5 and Reno5 Pro has a 64MP main sensor, with a 32MP selfie sensor on the front. When it comes to charging, both devices receive the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charger included in the box itself. Last but not least, they run on the latest ColorOS 11.1 that is based on Android 11.
The OPPO Reno5 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.It has a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Its battery is a 4,300mAh capacity that charges via USB Type-C.
As for the OPPO Reno5 Pro, it is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ CPU, paired with a higher 12GB and 256GB storage configuration. For its display, it has a larger 6.5-inch and a better Super AMOLED screen, complete with the 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch sampling rate. Battery wise, it utilizes a 4,350mAh capacity, which is slightly more than its younger sibling.

The OPPO Reno5 5G is priced at RM1,899, while the Reno5 Pro 5G is priced at RM2,599. Pre-orders begin from 13 – 26 January 2021, and those who pre-order the OPPO Reno5 Series will receive additional free gifts worth RM397, which includes:
