Maxis today announced customers of its Maxis Fibre Home Broadband plans will now get a Wi-Fi 6 certified router included. Working in collaboration with Huawei and Kaon, the new router is customized specially for Maxis Fibre customers.
Maxis Fibre Wi-Fi 6 Router Upgrade

According to Maxis, the new Wi-Fi 6 router does support Wi-Fi 6, as well as Wi-Fi certified EasyMesh access points. In the FAQ document, it states that the new Maxis Fibre router can be used with customers’ existing DECT phone.
Connectivity wise, the Wi-Fi 6 technology can support up to 9.6Gbps of data throughput, along with dual-band operation, 1024-QAM modulation mode, downlink MU-MIMO, OFDMA, 160MHz channel bandwidth, as well as beamforming. All in all, if you’re currently using a Wi-Fi 5 router, I would say this would be a pretty major upgrade when it comes to connection stability and efficiency.
