Mihoyo has finally released Two Factor Authentication (2FA) for its account, including those used for Genshin Impact. This feature has been long awaited by fans, and I’m sure most are pleased about this piece of news. Now that we have the feature, the next question is “how do we set it up?” We got you covered.
Two Factor Authentication (2FA) For Genshin Impact

First, you’re going to want to visit this link right here to access your Mihoyo account. Login with your credentials.
Once you’re logged in, check on your account information to see if you have linked your email and/or phone number. If you haven’t, you may click on the “Account Security Settings” buttons, and choose “Link” to link them up.
When setting up 2FA on email, Mihoyo will be sending you a verification email to the email you used for registration, so please be sure you have access to the email account.
When setting up 2FA on mobile, be sure that your phone is able to receive messages so you will be able to retrieve the verification code sent via SMS.

To check on the devices that have access to your account, you can click on “Login Devices”. If you see a suspicious device that doesn’t belong to you, delete it immediately and it is recommended you change your password as soon as possible. If you accidentally deleted your own device, don’t worry, you’ll just need to verify yourself again via email or mobile to login.
There you go, simple steps on how you can keep your Genshin Impact account safe and protected. Steps are easy, so don’t be lazy, and get right to it to prevent hackers and trolls from messing with your accounts.
