Genshin Impact 1.6 Update
This time around, the Genshin Impact 1.6 update revolves around Klee, Kazuha, a new region, a new boss, boats, islands, new skins, and Klee’s mischiefs. Let’s go into details what Genshin Impact 1.6 update will bring to players globally.
The story begins when Klee receives a mysterious letter from a “Dodo-King” threatening to take Dodoco away from her. To help Klee and Dodoco, the Traveler will sail on a boat called a “Waverider” and explore a secluded archipelago scattered over a remote sea area in search of the mysterious “Dodoland.”
Introducing Midsummer Islands! Players will now get to explore a whole new time-limited area in Teyvat. That means once the event is over, this location no longer be accessible so take note, travelers!
On the new islands, we’ll get to summon our own skiff and traverse through the waters to visit numerous islands in the area, and find new chests, monsters, and more. These skiffs will also be used in several challenges around the islands.
Skiff waypoints are where you can summon a skiff to start travelling on water. You’re able to boost your cruising speed, perform ranged attacks from the boat as well. Not only that, travelers can also exit the skiff by riding on a wind channel, and fighting Hilichurls on water. Be sure to avoid the whirlpools!
New Archon Quest
Kazuha will also be featured in the new Archon Quest. Traveling with Beidou and her Crux Fleet, this wandering samurai will provide clues about the way to the closed-off Inazuma. Besides, more concept art about Inazuma, the third major city in Genshin Impact, and its surrounding area have also been revealed to fans in the latest live stream.
Kazuha is a 5-star character, who wields a sword and has the Anemo vision. Wielding the power of Anemo and a sword, Kazuha is a powerful five-star character who can provide strong control and additional buffs to the team. His Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst can not only deal Anemo damage and effectively control enemies, but also deal additional elemental damage if they come into contact with Hydro, Pyro, Cryo, or Electro. At the same time, by triggering a Swirl reaction, Kazuha can further buff his teammates with an Elemental Damage Bonus for their corresponding Element.
Kazuha will also be featured in the new Archon Quest. Traveling with Beidou and her Crux Fleet, this wandering samurai will provide clues about the way to the closed-off Inazuma.
Meet the Maguu Kenki, a new monster for travelers to take on. It takes on the cryo and anemo element, this new opponent can summon phantoms, dealing both Anemo and Cryo damage, and can only be taken down while in close-range combat.
Serenitea Pot System (Update)
For the Serenitea Pot, players will finally be able to put up to eight characters they own into the Pot. When the characters are in, they’ll be able to slowly earn friendship points. Each character will also have their own favorite furnishing set, and once you’ve placed it, the characters will unlock new dialogue, and give more rewards like Primogems, Mora, and character ascension materials.
Characters in the player’s realm will gradually accumulate Character Companionship Experience over time, and this rate of increase will be affected by their Adeptal Energy Rank.
Midsummer Island Adventure
In Midsummer Island Adventure, there are a lot of mini events to enjoy. The event currency this time is the Shiny Flotsam and the Mini Harpastum. Obtain all these currencies, and exchange for prizes in the event shop! But before you see the prizes, let’s check out the events, shall we?
Main Cannon, Make Ready… Fire!
In this event, you will be able to engage in naval combat in your own skiff. Take down Hilichurls and destroy their makeshift water camps to restore peace. You will also be able to leave your skiff by riding a wind channel, and engage in hand-to-hand combat.
Whirlpool off to Starboard… Full Speed Ahead!
In Whirlpool off to Starboard, you will use your skiff to travel the waters and take part in mini racing challenges. Given a time limit, you have to finish the course, gain as much coins as you can to get a higher score. The higher your score, the more event currency you will gain.
Samurai Sighted… To Arms!
In Samurai Sighted, this is where you will go up against the Maguu Kenki. Defeat him to earn prizes, including Dodoco Tales, Primogems, and more.
Harpastum Bombs Loaded… Blow’ ‘Em Away!
For Harpastum Bombs Loaded, players will be able to use different types of Harpastum Bombs infused with different types of elements to take down slimes and Hilichurls. Defeat these enemies to gain event currencies to exchange for different prizes in the event shop.
In never-ending battle, players are given a time limit to defeat a set of monsters. The faster you defeat them, the more points you’ll gain. You get the idea, and of course, it comes with the prizes too.
In Kaboomball Kombat, players will go up against a ball-firing Tiki machine, where you can use a floating companion to throw the balls back at the machine. The more balls you return, the more damage you’ll do, the higher your score. When the machine is defeated before the time limit, it will respawn and you can continue scoring points till the time is up. Higher scores equal more event currency, and more prizes exchanged.
Note: This event does allow multi-player co-op of up to 2 persons.
Legend of the Vagabond Sword
In Legend of the Vagabond Sword, players will go up against the Primo Geovishap, the Oceanid, and the Maguu Kenki, similar to the previous domain challenges where travelers get to choose their own difficulties, and challenges to score higher points. The higher the points you score, the more prizes you can exchange for. There are 7 challenges, the first 6 will be the 3 monsters in turn, while the final challenge will be all three monsters fighting together.
Note: This event does allow multi-player co-op of up to 4 persons.
Last but not least, in “Echoing Tales”, players will need to find “Echoing Conches” that contain various voice lines and stories. Once you’ve collected a certain amount, you will be able to exchange for rewards such as Primogems, Mystical Enchantment Ore, and more.
That’s right, you read that correctly. Mihoyo has finally introduced character skins in Genshin Impact, so fans can expect to customize their favourite character’s appearance in the future. In Genshin Impact 1.6 update, Klee will be having her first re-run banner after Eula’s banner ends. There’s no introduction needed for this 5-star pyro character who uses a catalyst as her main weapon of choice. Her banner will be lasting for 20 days, and will then be replaced by…
Kazuha, the new 5-star Anemo sword character, will be getting his first ever debut banner right after Klee’s. His banner will also last for 20 days, and will end right before version 1.7 is released.
In version 1.6, we’ll be getting a total of three new weapons – Dodoco Tales, the Freedom-Sworn, and the Mitternachts Waltz.
Dodoco Tales is Klee’s signature weapon, which is oddly a 4-star catalyst. It will be available to travelers for free, and through events, travelers will get to increase the weapons’ refinement to refinement 5.
Freedom-Sworn is a 5-star sword, while the Mitternachts Waltz is Fischl’s signature weapon, a 4-star bow.

These are the various locations that will be featured in Inazuma, when it eventuall y releases. Players are treated to (by sequence) Watatsumi Island, Narukami Island, Seirai Island, Narukami Island Grand Narukami Shrine, and Tsurumi Island.
On Narukami Island, it seems like there’s something trapped and sealed within the island. For now, we don’t know what it is, but we’ll find out once we get there. On Seirai Island, it is said that a big disaster has happened here before, and all plants in Inazuma has a purple colour.
