Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, PS5 Version, Housing System, And More!

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update

The Genshin Impact 1.5 update has officially been announced by Mihoyo, and it will arrive as soon as 28th of April, alongside the launch of the PS5 version of the game. The announcement came rather early this time around, being 2 weeks earlier instead of the usual 3-day prior to the update. The update brings about Zhongli’s banner re-run, new characters Eula and Yanfei, Homeworld system, and more!

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update – Beneath The Light Of Jadeite

This time around, the Genshin Impact 1.5 update trailer we’re offered focuses heavily on the new weekly boss – Azhdaha. It was also revealed that Azhdaha was an Archon that Zhongli had sealed up in the past, and now he’s broken free. We also get to see the new characters – Eula and Yanfei. Speaking of new characters, let’s meet them.

New Characters

Eula

Eula is a new 5-star character that wields a claymore, and uses the cryo element. She is the Spindrift Knight and Captain of the Knights of Favonius Reconnaissance Company. She has a cool exterior, with elegant claymore moves, dealing AoE damage, and increases her resistance to interruption with her Elemental Skill and Elemental Burst.

Yanfei

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, Housing System, And More!

Yanfei is a new 4-star character that uses a catalyst, and she dons the pyro element. She’s kind of like a 4-star version of Klee, and like all Liyue Harbor characters, her name is pronounced as “Enhi” in Japanese. She was born in Liyue during peacetime, being half human, half illuminated beast. She dedicated her life to studying, interpreting, and advising her clients on Liyue’s laws. She is also the second playable half illuminated beast character, right after Ganyu.

New Bosses

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, Housing System, And More!

There are a total of three new bosses in Genshin Impact 1.5 update. First up, is none other than the “Lord of Vishaps”, Azhdaha. He is a huge monster, which had his seal removed, and has the ability to change elements in between fight. He can change between pyro, electro, hydro, as well as cryo, and transform the battlefield terrain too. His domain is also huge, so there’s bound to be a lot of running while going up against him.

The next boss is another hypostasis, and this time it’s the Cryo Hypostasis, which can be found in Dragonspine. The Cryo Hypostasis will be dropping a new type of cryo character ascension material (most likely for Eula), and its attack patterns have some similarity with Azhdaha and the Electro Hypostasis.

Last but not least, we have the Abyss Lector: Violet Lightning. This boss is similar to the Abyss Herald, which uses the Hydro element. Instead of the Hydro Element, the Abyss Lector uses the Electro element, and will be a boss within the Floor 12 of Spiral Abyss.

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, Housing System, And More!

In the Energy Amplifier event, players will be given an ancient relic, and they’ll be able to scavenge for energy amplifiers that will give them effects in combat. The amount of buffs you can apply are limited due to the Motive Force, but you can request help from your friends to increase the Motive Force, which also increases the number of buffs you get.

Clear out the enemies surrounding the fragments to get fragment fruits. Once you’re ready with your buffs, you can challenge stronger level opponents for more prizes. At the end of the event, players will also receive Diona for free, similar to the Fischl event we had before this in ver 1.1 update.

With the help of Ella Musk, players will get to speak to Hilichurls to get the information they need to find the “Unusual Hilichurl”. Once you’ve found him, defeat him, and earn decoration items for the Serenita Pot System, on top of the Primogems, Mora rewards and etc.

Windtrace

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, Housing System, And More!
That barrel in front is actually a Diona transformed, HAHAHAH.

In Windtrace, this is a casual game of hide and seek in Genshin Impact style. Players can choose to hide or to seek in five different terrains. Players who seek, will need to find the hiding player. But the fun is when you’re the one hiding. Hiders will be able to camouflage and transform into objects to hide themselves from being caught. There are also different secret favours that will help the players in the game.

Players will also be able to get Windtrace points by playing the game, and exchanging them for different prizes.

Inazuma

Genshin Impact 1.5 Update: Zhongli, Eula, Inazuma, Housing System, And More!

Right after the hosts said their goodbyes for the Genshin Impact 1.5 update livestream, they made a surprise return and showcased a few concept art for the new Electro region, Inazuma. What’s even better is that players are treated to their first look of Baal, the Electro Archon, who was also the surprise guest to introduce her hometown to the travelers of Teyvat. Even though her character was portrayed in Chibi style, we roughly get to see what the Electro Archon looks like.

That’s the chibi version of Baal, the Electro Archon on the right.

Alongside the Genshin Impact 1.5 update, miHoYo will also be releasing the native PS5 version of Genshin Impact on the same day. So console players who are already on PS5, get ready to update your console to enjoy 4K resolution, enhanced textures, and faster loading times!

Conclusion

That’s all for the Genshin Impact 1.5 Update! Are you excited? Will you be pulling for Zhongli, Eula, or Yanfei? Ready to decor your own homeworld? Heart racing to see Inazuma? No release date yet for Inazuma, but we’re really glad with how the concept art looks.
