The Western Digital My Passport SSD can now transfer content twice as fast compared to its predecessor. This lets you save time to do other more pressing tasks. Because of its size, it’s also lighter and more portable for you to bring it wherever you go – at home, to the office, meetings, and more.

“The new My Passport SSD delivers the speed, reliability and functionality consumers have come to expect from us,” “It is a powerful and sophisticated solution for the everyday content creators, curators and hobbyists who need to move files quickly. The rounded corners, waving ridges and soft edges enhance the My Passport SSD’s portability and make it easy to carry, yet also distinctly recognizable as a member within WD’s award-winning My Passport product line-up.”Susan Park, vice president, Consumer Solutions, Western Digital.

The Western Digital My Passport SSD features read speeds of up to 1050MB/s and write speeds of up to 1000MB/s. It also has a password enabled 256-bit AES hardware encryption to protect your data. If in any case you dropped it, the My Passport SSD is also shock, vibration, and drop resistant up to 1.98m.

The Western Digital My Passport SSD also comes bundled with a software to make sure it’s easier to backup large files to your drive or to a cloud service account. Connectivity wise, the SSD utilizes USB 3.2 Gen-2 technology, paired with a USB Type-C cable, and a USB Type-A adapter.

The Western Digital My Passport SSD is available in four stylish colours – Gray, Blue, Red and Gold. Personally, I think the red looks really sleek. The My Passport SSD is also ready to use out of the box and it’s compatible with both Macs and PCs.
