If you’re planning to get yourself a PlayStation 5 soon, you should keep in mind that it’s apparently a massive console. In fact, folks at The Verge dubbed the upcoming Sony console to be “the biggest game console in modern history.” Sony had earlier released the official dimensions of the console, but new images of the PS5 from Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) further emphasise just how big the console really is.
PlayStation 5 to be the Largest Console in Modern History

According to Sony, the official dimensions and weight of its upcoming consoles are as follows:
PlayStation 5 — Approximately 390mm x 104mm x 260mm (width x height x depth) and 4.5kg (weight)
PlayStation 5 Digital Edition — Approximately 390mm x 92mm x 260mm (width x height x depth) and 3.9kgs (weight)
Knowing the above, it can be determined that both PS5 editions are indeed huge; even when compared to the already large PS4 Pro console. And if that’s not clear enough, have a look at these close up images of the PlayStation 5 (with disc drive) below which was posted recently by Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC):
Those aside, it doesn’t seems too surprising to know that the PlayStation 5 will be a massive console; especially when you consider the ‘technologies’ that is being equipped in the system. So, now that you relatively know how big the console will be, time for you to start finding the perfect spot/making room for the PS5!
