Sony Malaysia today announced a price adjustment to the Sony Xperia 10 II (pronounced as Mark Two). From its original retail price of RM1,799, the device has been slashed RM500 off to get a new retail price of RM1,299. This price adjustment comes just after three months of being launched in Malaysia.
Sony Xperia 10 II – Specifications
To recap, the Sony Xperia 10 II features a 6-inch OLED display that has a FHD+ resolution. The display also has a 21:9 aspect ratio, making it a more narrow phone than most. In terms of performance, the Sony Xperia 10 II is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665, paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD).
Camera wise, it has a triple-camera setup on the back with a 12MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, as well as an 8MP telelphoto sensor which offers 2x optical zoom. In charge of selfies is an 8MP sensor. The Sony Xperia 10 II is capable of 4K video recording, complete with SteadyShot stabilisation and support for 120fps slow-mo videos.
The Sony Xperia 10 II is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 6, as well as IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. On the side power button, there is also a fingerprint sensor integrated, much like its predecessor – the Sony Xperia 10. The device also retains its 3.5mm audio jack and supports DSEE HX audio upscaling together with Hi-Res audio playback.
The device is juiced up with a 3,600mAh battery that supports Sony’s Adaptive Charging feature to help prolong the battery’s lifespan.
Pricing and Availability
The Sony Xperia 10 II with 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage will now be priced at RM1,299. It will be available in four colours – Black, Grey, Mint, and Blue. The device is now available for purchase at Sony Stores in KLCC and The Curve, as well as Sony Store Online, Sony’s flagship store on Lazada and at all Sony authorised dealers.
