If you’re thinking about subscribing or renewing your PS Plus membership, there are two offers going on right now in PlayStation Asia’s Days of Play Sale. But, which is more worth it?
Sony Days of Play Sale – 12 Months PS Plus Subscription
If you subscribe to 12 months of PS Plus online, you’ll get 30% off from the original price of RM159, which is RM111.
If you purchase a physical 12-month PSN subscription card, you’ll pay full price of RM159, but get four months extra for free. This is a limited time offer, so to get the four months extra for free, you’d have to redeem the card before the 16th of June 2020.
Let’s break it down.
Subscribing online for the price of RM111, you’d be paying RM9.25/month for just 12 months of subscription. If you were to purchase a physical PSN 12-month card, it’s RM159 but you’ll get four months free, with each month only priced at RM0.70 extra at RM9.93.
- Online: RM111 / 12 = RM9.25/month
- PSN Card: RM159 / 16 = RM9.93/month
In hindsight, subscribing online is cheaper. But if you purchase a physical card, you’ll get extra 4 months for just RM48, when the 3-month plan is priced at RM69.
If 12 months is all you need, then it’s best to just subscribe online. If you want that extra 4 months at a value, then you could try getting your hands on a physical PSN card.
