The ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition has been launched a few months back, and the device has finally made its way to Maxis’ Zerolution plan to ease the customer’s burden. Especially those who have been eyeing the phone for a while now.

The Strix Edition gets a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. Display wise, it is also equipped with a 6.59-inch AMOLED 10-bit HDR display with a 1,000 nits peak brightness. The screen is also rated Delta-E <1 and supports DCI-P3 colour gamut. Having an AMOLED screen, it also supports the Always On feature.
In the camera department, the ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition features a triple camera system which consists of a main 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, as well as a 24MP sensor on the front for selfies.
Connectivity wise, the ROG Phone 3 is packed all the latest bells and whistles. It has dual-band Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX support, NFC, and multiple USB Type-C ports on the side and bottom. The one on the side supports USB 3.1 Gen 2, DisplayPort 1.4 (4K UHD), and fast charging (PD 3.0) 30 watt. The port also connects accessories such as the AeroActive Cooler 3, which features a pass-through USB-C connector, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a new kickstand on the back to support ROG Phone 3 on a desk or table for a better viewing and gaming experience. As for the one on the bottom, it supports USB 2.0 with fast charging (PD3.0) 30 watt, and direct charging.
Running on Android 10 with the new ROG UI, the ROG Phone 3 series will have a 6,000mAh battery as expected.
Pricing and Availability

The ASUS ROG Phone 3 Strix Edition currently retails for RM2,999 in Malaysia. However, if you already a Maxis subscriber, you can purchase the phone via the telco’s Zerolution plan from just RM109/month. The deal is only for in-store collection, and it is available for purchase starting today.
