After the ROG Phone 2, many ROG fans have been waiting for the ROG Phone 3. And this might be our best look at it yet. Coming from China’s certification database, TENAA, the phone’s overall look and minor specs have been revealed.
ROG Phone 3
To be honest, it doesn’t look that much different from the ROG Phone 2. As they say, don’t fix what’s not broken. The ROG logo is still in the middle of the phone’s rear, but there seems to be a “Tencent Games” logo below it. All the camera system, button placements all appear to be in the same position as well. The sides also still has the secondary USB Type-C charging port.
On the front, there isn’t much difference either. You’ll get a full forehead instead of a notch. The ROG Phone 3 supposedly has a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with either a 120Hz or 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus, has a 64MP triple camera system, 16GB of RAM, and has a 6,000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. It will also reportedly be 9.85mm thin and weigh 240g.
As of this writing, there isn’t any unveiling date yet for the ROG Phone 3, but the device is said to make its debut in Q3 of 2020 according to prior reports.
