After announcing the Redmi Note 9 series and the Mi Note 10 Lite, Xiaomi Malaysia also unveiled the new prices for its Redmi Note 8 series – Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro.
Redmi Note 8
The Redmi Note 8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The display has a 6.3-inch FHD+ LCD Dot Drop display panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is also protected with a 2.5D glass with rounded display corners and Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
In the camera department, the Redmi Note 8 features an AI quad camera system. It consists of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP 120-degree ultra wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP sensor for depth sensing to allow bokeh shots. On the front, you’ll find a lower 13MP selfie camera.
The Redmi Note 8 runs on a 4,000mAh battery equipped with a USB Type-C port and 18W fast charging. Connectivity wise, the device has dual 4G SIM, Bluetooth 4.2, headphone jack, and even an IR remote.
Redmi Note 8 Pro
Running on a MediaTek Helio G90T processor, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has 6GB of RAM with up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage. It also features a larger 6.53-inch FHD+ Dot Drop Display with the same 19.5:9 aspect ratio as the Redmi Note 8.
Taking a look at the camera system, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has the same AI quad camera setup, except that the 48MP sensor has been swapped out for a much higher 64MP sensor. It is capable of clearer images, 960fps slow-motion recording, and on the front,you’ll find a 20MP selfie camera.
Giving the Redmi Note 8 Pro enough juice to power through the day is a 4,500mAh battery that also supports 18W fast charging. The device does feature liquid cooling to keep gaming more efficient, working in tandem with Game Turbo 2.0.
