Apart from launching an entire lineup of IoT products, realme also announced the realme X50 Pro Player Edition. The smartphone was announced alongside the new realme Buds Q, Buds Air Neo, realme Watch, realme Smart TV, and more. To see the entire list, check it out here.
realme X50 Pro Player Edition
The realme X50 Pro Player Edition, as it name claims, is a game-centric upgraded version of the standard realme X50 Pro. It still runs on a Snapdragon 865 chipset with 5G support, has that same 6.44-inch AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, still features LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 storage, as well as a 4,200mAh battery which can charge from 0% to 100% in 35 minutes.
However, the device now comes with HyperBoost 3.0, a feature that re-allocates memory, chipset, and battery power to provide the user with an improved gaming experience. So that means no more redundant notifications, apps running in the background, or have your location services turned off while gaming. Apart from that, the feature also lets the device switch between Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G with zero lag. Also, realme also added graphite sheets between the battery and the back panel to help the device dissipate heat better.
That being said, you are losing some features in the camera department to get that upgraded gaming experience. The 64MP main sensor is swapped with a 48MP sensor. The telephoto sensor is taken out and replaced with a 2MP macro sensor. And on the front, the dual-camera 32MP + 8MP sensors have been change to a 16MP main sensor + 2MP depth sensor.
