Meet the Razer Huntsman Mini. Depending on the desk that you have, real estate is essential for more space to move around with. Cutting down on peripheral size is one way to have more desk space, and that’s where the Razer Huntsman Mini comes in.
Razer Huntsman Mini
The Razer Huntsman Mini is the company’s first 60% keyboard, which removes the arrow cluster, function keys, and numpad. This is launched alongside the mini versions of Razer mice, like the Razer DeathAdder V2 Mini and Razer Viper Mini. The Huntsman Mini will be available in two optical switch options – Clicky (Purple) and Linear (Red).
Despite not having the physical function keys anymore, these functions are still built into the keyboard via FN combos. Just hold down the FN key and tap on the number row for the corresponding functions.
When it comes to the hardware, the Razer Huntsman Mini has an aluminium casing and utilises double-shot PBT keycaps which ensures the letters would stay in place, and not come off due to rubbing or wear and tear. According to Razer, both the clicky and linear optical switches do have an expected lifespan of 100 million keystrokes. The keyboard is also fitted with enhancements to reduce noise and increase tactile experience for the linear version.
Being a Razer keyboard, the Huntsman Mini will also come with Chroma RGB LED backlighting, which are fully customizable via Razer’s Synapse software. Connectivity wise, it features a USB Type-C port for connection to PCs, and the keyboard will come in two colour variants – Black and Mercury White.
Both variants of the Razer Huntsman Mini are now available through Razer’s official online store and their pricing are as below:
- Clicky – RM599
- Linear – RM649
As for physical store purchases, they will be on shelves starting from the 3rd of August 2020.
