CES 2020: 32, 37.5, and 55-Inch Predator Gaming Monitors 5

At CES 2020, what unveiling would be complete without some monitors to go along with the announcements? This time, Acer want gamers to really immerse themselves into their games with a whole new set of monitors – the 32-inch Predator X32, 37.5-inch Predator X38 and the 55-inch Predator CG552K.

Predator X32 Gaming Monitor

CES 2020: 32, 37.5, and 55-Inch Predator Gaming Monitors 6

The 32-inch Predator X32 features NVIDIA G-SYNC ULTIMATE IPS panel with UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution delivering up to 1440 nits brightness. It is VESA DisplayHDR™ 1400 certified and features 10-bit color with a color accuracy of Delta E <1. That covers 99% of the AdobeRGB and 89.5% of the Rec2020 color gamut. Its refresh rate is at a rapid 144 Hz, complete with an ergonomic stand that allows it to be swiveled and height to be adjusted. Connectivity wise, it has three HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, four USB 3.0 ports, complete with two 4W stereo speakers.

Predator X38 Gaming Monitor

CES 2020: 32, 37.5, and 55-Inch Predator Gaming Monitors 7

This 37.5-inch UWQHD+ (3840 x 1600) display has a 2300R curvature. It has a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification with Delta E <1 color accuracy and 98% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. Capable of handling up to 175 Hz refresh rate (overclocked), the Predator X38 also has a 1 ms G to G response time in overdrive. Port wise, there is a HDMI 2.0 port, DisplayPort 1.4, and four USB 3.0 port. This monitor also has two built-in 7W speakers.

Predator CG552K Gaming Monitor

CES 2020: 32, 37.5, and 55-Inch Predator Gaming Monitors 8

You might think the Predator CG552K is borderline a TV, but it has a huge 55-inch 4K (3840 x 2160) OLED panel that is catered to gamers. Its panel supports up to 400 nits brightness, with Delta E <1 color accuracy and 98.5% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Not only that, it also has a variable refresh rate (VRR) via HDMI, compatible with both Adaptive Sync and NVIDIA G-SYNC. It has a fast 0.5 ms (G to G) response time via overdrive, as well as a 120 Hz refresh rate.

What’s interesting with the Predator CG552K is that it has a light sensor built in. It’s capable of detecting the room’s light level, and will automatically adjust the monitor’s brightness. There is also a proximity sensor on board, allowing it to wake up when someone is in range, and go into energy-saving mode when there is no one watching. Talk about overkill, there are three HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort v1.4 ports, a USB Type C port, and two USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports. The back also has two 10W speakers that deliver 20W of dynamic audio and customizable light strips.
