After collaborating with Gundam last year, OPPO is back with another Mecha collaboration, and this time it’s with Evangelion. Not only did the OPPO Reno Ace 2 get the limited edition EVA treatment, there’s also a pair of TWS earbuds and smartwatch included too.
OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition
The Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is designed entirely based on the popular Unit-01. The entire phone is draped in Evangelion purple and neon green. To keep the phone safe and to make sure the colour doesn’t get blocked out, the phone also comes with a similar-designed phone casing. A small accessory like the SIM Pin also gets the EVA treatment as it looks like the Spear of Longinus.
The OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It has a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate, and its 4,000mAh battery supports 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging.
In the camera department, OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition has a quad-camera setup which consists of a 48MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, a 2MP macro sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. In charge of selfies is a 16MP main sensor that is housed in a keyhole notch on the front left of the display.
According to Engadget, the OPPO Reno Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition only has 10,000 made.
OPPO Watch Asuka Langley Soryu // OPPO Enco W31 TWS Rei Ayanami
Apart from the smartphone, OPPO also launched a limited edition OPPO Watch that is bathed in Asuka Langley Soryu theme, complete with a limited edition Enco W31 TWS earbuds that has a Rei Ayanami skin. That’s not all, as there is also an EVA-themed wireless charging pad.
Pricing and Availability
Currently, these EVA limited edition products will only be offered in China, so there is no word yet on whether they will be made available internationally.
