The Razer Blade Pro 17 finally got a refresh with Intel’s latest 10th generation processors. Apart from that, you can also opt to have it fitted with an Nvidia GeForce RTX2080 Super Max-Q, or having a FHD display with a 300Hz refresh rate.
Razer Blade Pro 17 – FHD
There are two variants to the Blade Pro 17, one is a Full HD model, and the other a 4K UHD model. Let’s start with the Full HD model. Powered by an 8-core 10th generation Intel Core i7-10875H processor, the Full HD model only gets a RTX 2070 Max-Q, instead of the RTX 2080 Super Max-Q.
As its name implies, its display is a 17.3-inch IPS display, but has a 300Hz refresh rate. It also has 300nits of brightness, and 100% sRGB colour gamut. As for storage, there’s a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD which is upgradable to 2TB. There’s also an optional open M.2 slot that supports PCIe and SATA SSDs, which are upgradable to 2TB SSD as well. For its RAM, it has 16GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory, upgradable to 64GB with Intel XMP support.
Razer Blade Pro 17 – 4K UHD
For the 4K UHD model, you’re getting the same Intel Core i7-10875H processor, but you’re giving up the 300Hz refresh rate for a stronger Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q.
It has the same 17.3-inch IPS display, but with a 4K resolution touch panel, and a 120Hz refresh rate instead. It also has a higher 400 nit brightness, and covers 100% of the sRGB colour gamut. Storage wise, the base model has a 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD which is upgradable to 2TB. There is also an open M.2 slot which lets you add another SSD with support for PCIe and SATA SSDs (up to 2TB). It has the same RAM configuration as the FHD model.
Connectivity wise, both laptops share the same I/O ports. They have:
- Three USB3.2 Gen 2 Type-A Ports
- Two USB3.2 Gen 2 Type-C Ports (Shared with Thunderbolt 3 Port)
- One Thunderbolt 3 Port
- One RJ45 – 2.5Gb ethernet
- One Power Port
- One HDMI 2.0b
- One UHS-III SD Card Reader
The keyboard and trackpad has a per-key RGB illumination by Razer Chroma, which is also an anti-ghosting backlit keyboard. Its trackpad is made of glass and has Microsoft Precision Touch for multi-touch gestures.
You’ll have Wi-Fi 6 (Intel AX201) on board, with Bluetooth 5.0 as well. It also has a HD 720p webcam, with Windows Hello IR. Additionally when it comes to sound, the Razer Blade Pro 17 features a stereo speaker system, array microphones, with Dolby Atmos support and 7.1 codec support.
The Razer Blade Pro 17 is juiced up by a beefy 70.5Whr lithium polymer battery, and has a compact 230W power adapter.
