Let's Talk About TWS Earbuds: Pros And Cons Of Those We Tried So Far 13

So, everyone has been talking about TWS Earbuds all year long. Brands have been releasing their own TWS Earbuds here and there. Are they all the same? Which one should you buy considering your budget and needs? We have be receiving questions about this, so here is a summary of all the TWS Earbus we tried so far.

What are TWS Earbuds?

TWS is the short term for True Wireless Stereo, which is the implementation of the wireless audio technology riding on the bluetooth technology. So you may be asking how is it different from Bluetooth earphones? Well, do you remember those wireless earphones that still have a wire connecting one side to the other? Yup, that is the difference. Basically, thanks to the technology, TWS earbuds now do not have to rely on the wire to transmit audio to the other earpiece. Instead, it uses Bluetooth technology between the earbuds to send audio to the other earpiece. Therefore, “True Wireless”!

Advantages of TWS Earbuds

Wireless!

For being truly wireless, you won’t have to deal with wires tangling here and there anymore. Now you can move around the room without carrying your phone around.

Reduce Potential Wire Damage

I believe most of you that had Bluetooth earphones before this had quite a share of damaged wires caused by tangles when keeping it, causing the tug and pull when you want to untangle it to wear. Apart from that, there were times where the earpieces was pulled out of your ears when the wires were hooked onto something, going wireless solves just all that!

Extra Battery

Most TWS Earbuds comes in a charging case, to extend playtime, you can either hot swap ear sides to listen to music or put it back in to charge for a while and you can continue using it without plugging it to your charger.

Disadvantages of TWS Earbuds

Keeping It

While TWS Earbuds are wireless, taking it down to talk to someone in public is quite a hassle as you will have to take out your casing and putting your earbuds in the case itself. However, the higher range of TWS earbuds now have hear through or environmental hearing to aid that problem. Once you turn it on, you would not have to take out your earbuds to listen or talk to people around you.

Noise Reduction and Speech Capabilities

However, as the mic on the TWS earbuds are on the earpiece itself. The capability to pick up your voice for calls are not as stable compare to wired earphones as wired earphone mostly have a mic piece that you can pull close to your mouth to talk especially at noisy areas.
