The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon finally made its way to Malaysia, despite missing its original planned launch date which was the end of October 2020. With that aside, the Slim 7i Carbon boasts its lightweight design of only 966g, complete with a Web-Core 2.0 Carbon Fiber finish and MIL-STD-810G certification standards.

To recap, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon’s display features a 13.3-inch anti-glare display with FHD resolution. It also offers 100% coverage of the sRGB colour space, Dolby Vision, and with its thin bezels, it has a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. For its audio system, it has dual 2W stereo speakers that supports Dolby Atmos.
Powered by Intel Evo processor, the laptop can be fitted with either an 11th generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor. Paired with Intel Iris Xe graphics, the laptop can also be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of internal storage.
Keeping the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon running is the 50Wh battery, which according to Lenovo, can last the laptop for up to 15 hours on a single charge. Packed with fast charging capabilities, the laptop can have 2 hours of use with just a 15-minute charge. The company also promises that the laptop’s battery health will remain at 80% even after 800 charge cycles.
Being a Lenovo laptop, the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Carbon does come with some of the Lenovo smart technologies features like Flip-To-Boot, IR camera, Q-control Intelligent Cooling Mode, as well as Glance by Mirametrix. When it comes to ports, the laptop has three USB Type-C ports with Power Delivery support, DisplayPort, as well as support for ThunderBolt 4.0.

There’s an encased Smart Sensor Touchpad provides vibrations when pressed to recreate the familiar feeling of a real click; this shift to haptic feedback allowed users to increase the touchpad’s clickable active surface area by nearly half and it’s also coated with a fingerprint-resistant finish too, so they need not worry about unseemly smudges.
With this calibre of visual horsepower stacked inside such a thin and light package, thermal venting holes on the underside of the keyboard is installed to lower the device temperature by an average of two degrees Celsius compared to the previous generation. The size of the hidden heat vent behind the Yoga 9i’s rotating hinge is increased while slimming down the fan blades to allow users to accelerate the apps they use every day.
