Intel Launches Core i9-10850K CPU; Priced Around RM1,926 5

Intel has announced a brand new desktop processor called the “Core i9-10850K.” This CPU is based off of the company’s Comet Lake-S architecture and it looks to be a more ‘affordable’ option when compared to the more powerful Core i9-10900K. Moreover, it seems that this processor is Intel’s answer to AMD’s Ryzen 3000XT CPUs.

When it comes to specifications, the Intel Core i9-10850K CPU features 10 cores and 20 threads, along with a base speed of 3.6GHz. Additionally, this CPU also boasts boost speeds of 5GHz (Turbo Boost 2.0), 5.1GHz (Turbo Boost Max 3.0) and 4.7GHz (All Core Turbo). Moreover, Intel’s newest CPU has a TDP rating of 125W.

It should be noted that the Core i9-10850K requires an LGA1200-based motherboard; this could either be a Z490, H470 or B460. Intel has stated that the processor comes with a MSRP of US$453 (around RM1,926) for every one thousand units. This likely means that the CPU will be priced higher when arriving at retailers shelves sometime this year—especially when the Core i9-10900K is currently priced at around RM2,500 locally.
