The Huawei Y7a has just been announced for the Malaysian market, as the company’s slightly intermediate entry-level smartphone. With a huge screen, large battery, and fast charging, the Huawei Y7a is priced just below RM800.

The Huawei Y7a is powered by an octa-core processor, the Kirin 710A, which is also found on the Huawei MatePad T10s. Paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, its display is a 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD screen. The device measures 9.26mm thick and weighs approximately 206g, which is slightly on the heavier side.
In the camera department, the device has a quad camera system which consists of a 48MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. In charge of selfies in the front, is an 8MP sensor.
Running on EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10, the Huawei Y7a comprises of a 5,000mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging via USB Type-C. Connectivity wise, the phone also has Bluetooth 5.1, GPS capabilities, Dual SIM, and a microSD card slot for expansion up to 512GB.
There is also a fingerprint sensor, but it’s not under the display but rather, embedded into the power button on the right side of the phone. The Y7a comes in three colour variations: Crush Green, Blush Gold and Midnight Black.
Pricing And Availability
The Huawei Y7a is priced at RM799, and it will be available on the official online HUAWEI Store and all HUAWEI Experience Stores (HES) nationwide from 30th October 2020 onwards.
