Huawei today announced the Huawei x Gentle Monster Eyewear II, and that it will be coming to Malaysia at the end of this month, on the same day as the Huawei FreeBuds Studio and Huawei Y7a.

The HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II has adopted a sophisticated device stacking technology to ensure that the temples are slim, and the entire lens body has no buttons or ports. The temples are made of titanium plastic, which is lighter and less dense. The surface is coated with a high-gloss finish, which gives the overall texture a warm and lustrous look, ensuring comfort as well as a sense of innovation and style.
There’s also a more flexible titanium hinge to connect the frame to the temples, supporting a 12-degree opening. Meanwhile, the curve angle of the temples is increased to 20 degrees from 12 degrees, offering a better, more flexible fit. The HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II also has its centroid landing on the middle of the temples and the bridge, alleviating the pressure on the user’s nose or on one ear. Perfect for comfortable all-day wear!
In terms of sound quality, the HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II features an ultra-thin, large amplitude speaker, where its amplitude has been increased by 100% compared with the previous generation. The semi-open dual speakers offer a wider vocal range and a more immersive music experience with richer details.
The HUAWEI X GENLTE MONSTER Eyewear II supports the all-new reverse sound field technology and adds a leakage hole design on the temples, which can offset the directional sound waves from the sound cavity, effectively reducing sound leakage by up to 12dB.
In addition to that, the HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II supports upgraded gesture controls such as letting users easily finish pairing by pinching the left temple or waking up the voice assistant by double tapping the left temple. A double tap on the right temple will play or pause music as well as answering or declining a phone call. It also supports swiping gestures for users to play the next or previous song and adjust the volume.
The HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II can play music for 5 hours or voice calls for 3.5 hours continuously on a single charge – this is a battery life increase of more than 40% compared with the previous generation, offering users prolonged use throughout the course of the day. Enjoy instant charge with its wireless charging case. Featuring new NFC contactless and wireless fast charging technology, the glasses case offers a larger charging area for higher charging efficiency. The glasses can be fully charged with just 90 minutes or provide 1 hour of music playback with a 15-minute charge, meaning the glasses are ready to use anytime, anywhere.

The HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II is coming to Malaysia this 30th October for the price of RM1,799. It will be available in the form of sunglasses (Black) or optical spectacles (Graphite Black) which can be fitted with prescription lenses at the optical shop.
