Alongside the launch of the new Huawei Nova 7 series, Huawei also launched a new tablet – the Huawei MatePad 10.4-inch with M-Pencil. This is the company’s latest mid-range offering from the MatePad series portfolio.
Specifications – Huawei MatePad 10.4
Not to be mistaken with the Huawei MatePad Pro, this is a more affordable version of it. Powered by a Kirin 810 chipset, the Huawei MatePad 10.4 has up to 6GB of RAM and internal storage of up to 128GB. As its name suggests, the tablet has a 10.4-inch screen with an IPS panel and 2000 x 1200 pixel resolution. Its display is also certified by TÜV Rheinland eye-health. Similar to the MatePad Pro, this model will also come with four large speakers tuned by Harman Kardon, as well as four onboard microphones.
As for its camera system, on the rear you will find an 8MP main camera sensor, and on the front, another 8MP sensor for selfies (why?) and video calls. Much like its other devices, the Huawei MatePad 10.4 will have Huawei Mobile Services onboard instead of Google Mobile Services. The tablet will support the new Huawei M-Pencil, but will not come included in the retail package.
Pricing and Availability
The Huawei MatePad 10.4 will be available in three variants, and they will be priced as below:

- 6GB + 128GB (Wi-Fi) – CNY2,199

Just like the Huawei Nova 7 series, there is no word yet on Malaysian availability for the Huawei MatePad 10.4. However, we have confirmation that the Nova 7 series could be making its debut soon, so we should expect the MatePad 10.4 to follow suit.
