Huawei launched an entire slew of laptops recently, all under the MateBook portfolio. This includes the MateBook X Pro, which we’ve reviewed, along with the MateBook 13 2020, MateBook D14 and MateBook D15.
MateBook 13 2020
The refreshed MateBook 13 2020 now sports an upgraded processor which features Intel’s latest 10th generation chips, particularly the Core i5-10210U and Core i7-10510U. For those who prefer to have AMD powering their laptops, the MateBook 13 2020 also comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U variant as well.
The difference is, that the Intel variants of the MateBook 13 comes packed with an Nvidia GeForce MX250 graphics card, while the AMD variant will only have AMD’s integrated Radeon Vega 8 graphics. The laptop weighs a mere 1.3KG and comes with 16GB RAM and 512GB of SSD storage as standard across all three variants.
MateBook D14 / MateBook D15
The larger laptops – MateBook D14 and D15 now have Ryzen 7 chip variant. The MateBook D15 will have a third generation Ryzen 7 3700U processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.
Should you prefer a smaller laptop, you can also opt for the MateBook D14 instead, which also has the same processor, RAM, and storage combination, with the only difference being the screen size and the graphics card. The D14 will have Vega 8, while the D15 will have the Vega 10 GPU.
Pricing and Availability
Take note that Huawei is still selling the previous generation Ryzen-5 based MateBook D15. So if you want something even more affordable, you can always go for that variant instead.
