As Huawei is calling it, the Huawei FreeBuds Studio are the world’s first headphones with intelligent dynamic noise cancellation. This also means it’s a hybrid ANC which gives both active and passive noise cancellation. On top of that, there’s also a dual transparent mode, with a six microphone array call noise cancellation. The company mentioned that the Huawei FreeBuds Studio is capable of giving great music as well as hands-free calls by achieving up to 40dB of noise cancellation.

As for the Huawei FreeBuds Studio itself, it features a Hi-Fi level acoustic system with a 4-layer 40mm polymer diaphragm. This lets it offer an ultra-wide frequency response range from 4Hz to 48kHz. This works in tandem with the Tee Audio Tube (TAT) acoustic architecture that links inner ear space with the front and rear sound cavity, in turn filtering out medium and high frequency noise.

For playback control, you can control it by swiping and tapping on the Huawei FreeBuds Studio’s side touch panels. The touch controls are all embedded into the right earcup only. When it comes to physical buttons, there’s the Dynamic Noise Cancellation On/Off button on the left earcup, with a Bluetooth pairing button and a power button on the right earcup.

Where battery life is concerned, Huawei claims that the Huawei FreeBuds Studio can offer up to 20 hours of music playback, and up to 24 hours with noise cancellation features turned off. To charge it back up, the headphones do support fast charging, where a full charge would only take 60 minutes via USB Type-C.
